What You Will Need
  1. A baking pan that has a minimum H=17; W=13
  2. An oven that can fit a baking pan (or 2 or more would be GREAT) that is H=17; W=13
  3. A piping bag with a small tip or a sandwich bag with a small cut in the corner for piping and a sandwich bag with a  larger hole  (not larger than 1/4 inch) for gluing panels together and decorations on the house with icing.
  4. Food coloring if you want other colors to decorate with (you will also need piping bags for each color)
  5. A large hard secure surface (like a large cutting board or other large piece of wood) covered with heavy duty tinfoil
  6. Hard Butterscotch (Brach’s preferred), pineapple or orange flavored Lifesavers for windows.
  7. Other candy if you would like to deocorate with them
  8. 1 large mixing bowl
  9. 1 medium mixing bowl
  10. 1 hand held mixer
  11. Items for recipe
  12. Sandpaper
  13. Parchment paper
  14. Plywood or sheetrock to place your house and surrounding landscape
  15. Tall straight glasses, bricks, books (that you dont mind getting icing on) anything that can keep your panels and roof panels in position while they set.
 
What You May Need to Consider
  1. Where to place your house
  2. How ornate you want to get – there is a lot of room – GO FOR IT!
  3. Remember, icing can cover a lot of mistakes and make it all better.
