Gingerbread Recipe
| 1 cup room temperature margarine 1 3/4 cups dark brown sugar 1 1/4 cups white sugar 4 ounces Molasses 6 ounces water 6 cups all purpose flour (use a decent flour) 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda (do not add more. Be as accurate as you can be) 1 tablespoon ground ginger 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon all spice 1 teaspoon cloveIn a large mixing bowl. Mix margarine and sugar. Add molasses and water and mix for about 3 minutes. Sift all dry ingredients into a separate bowl. Combine dry ingredients into large mixing bowl and place in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours. You may need to add more flour if the mixture is too wet and/or sticky. |
